HARIAN BERKAT – The results of the study found that exercising at least 150 minutes or 2.5 hours a week could reduce the risk of death. This research was conducted on more than 116,000 people and studied for more than 30 years.

Participants came from the nurse’s health study and the follow-up study of health workers (1988-2018). They were asked to answer a questionnaire with detailed self-reports of physical activity. As quoted from the site Times of India, Monday 26 September 2022, study with title “Long-Term Leisure-Time Physical Activity Intensity and All-Cause and Cause-Specific Mortality: A Prospective Cohort of US Adults”.

The research was published in July 2022 in Circulation, a scientific journal published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins for the American Heart Association.

It should be noted that heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide and is responsible for more than 30% of deaths.
